Packed with driving aids, New Look Mazda CX-9 is a car that really looks out for you. Add Dynamic Stability Control, Emergency Brake Assist and airbags across all three rows, and you're safer all round. Plus, Mazda's seven-seat sensation has something else unique to Mazda that drivers really love - we call it Zoom-Zoom.

Exterior

Alloy Wheels

18 inch alloy wheels are featured on Classic whilst Luxury and GRand Touring models get 20 inch wheels. Both wheel designs express dynamic motion. The 20 inch alloy wheels have a high-lustre finish that gives a more richly contoured metallic look to convey the high quality of Mazda's largest SUV.

Bi-Xenon headlamps

Grand Touring model features high intensity light from Bi-Xenon headlamps which cast a longer, broader beam for superior vision.

Daytime running lamps

LED daytime running lamps with a halo light ring around the head lamp are added to Ground Touring model for added safety and to ephasise the vehicle's strong visual presence during the daytime.

Design

'KODO – Soul of Motion' is our latest design theme for new generation Mazda vehicles, where powerful and athletic cues capture the muscular beauty of an animal or human springing into motion. In Mazda CX-9 the elements of 'KODO – Soul of Motion' are adopted at the front and rear for even sportier styling and a stronger presence.

Exhaust extensions

Chrome-tipped exhausts give you the expectation of exciting performance from CX-9's 3.7L V6 engine.

Fog lamps

Fog lamps make driving safer when fog or other hazardous weather conditions reduce visibility. Standard across the range.

Rear spoiler

All models come with a rear spoiler, adding another dynamic and sporty expression to the CX-9 whilst boosting aerodynamic efficiency.

Tail lamps

The rear combination lamps have new design signatures making the rear of the CX-9 more striking and characterful.

Power Mirrors

Power exterior mirrors provide excellent rear vision. Mirrors for Luxury and Grand Touring models are heated and feature a three-position memory function. Additionally, reverse parking is assisted by a tilt-down function when reverse gear is selected.

Power tailgate

Piling shopping bags and all the kid's stuff into the back of the CX-9 Grand Touring is simple with a power tailgate that opens with ease, with the press of a button on the remote locking unit.

Auto on/off headlights

All models come with auto on/off headlamps that automatically turn on and off as the ambient light conditions change, letting you focus on the drive.

Sunroof

The power-sliding and tilt glass sunroof comes standard on Luxury and Grand Touring models, which enables you to let the fresh air in.

Rain-sensing wipers

Available for all models, wipers that turn themselves on when it's raining, ensure your vision is clear in all conditions. The rain sensor's sensitivity can be adjusted easily.

Air conditioning

Not only can both driver and front passenger alter thier preferred temperature settings individually, but a rear seat control panel lets those in the back choose their preferred temperature as well.

Audio system

Audio system with CD player works in powerful harmony with 6 speakers in Classic, while Luxury and Grand Touring delivers concert quality through 277 watt Bose® premium audio and 10 speakers.

Cargo space

Split-folding 2nd- and 3rd-row seats offer you multiple ways to organize the cargo space to suit the size and shape of your load, and the number of passengers you are carrying.

Cruise control

Cruise control system ensures a constant speed is maintained on those longer journeys. Controls on steering wheel fall easily to hand and can be operated without removing your eyes from the road.

Decoration panels

Featured in Luxury and Grand Touring models, new Bordeaux-coloured decoration panels have a deep, glossy, metallic look and create a sense of quality befitting Mazda's premium model.

Leather seats

Supple leather seats with perforations in the middle sections offer an enhanced sense of refinement and quality. Offered in either black or sand coloured leather in Luxury and Grand Touring models only. Please check the Colour selector for availability.

Meter cluster

Polished surface of meter cluster emphasises a sense of refinement and quality whilst white illumination enhances legibility.

USB and AUX

A 3.5mm auxiliary jack and iPod® compatible USB input located in the rear centre console ensure you're always connected to your favourite tracks. A handy 12 volt power outlet is also included.

Satellite navigation

Navigation by TomTom comes standard on Luxury and Grand Touring models, offering features like spoken street names and advanced lane guidance as well as an intitial-purchase 60-day map guarantee.

Seven-seat comfort

When you're all aboard, there's plenty of legroom and access to the third row of seats with the flick of the wrist. In fact 3rd row ingress and egress is amongst the best in class.

Storage spaces

CX-9 has been designed with plenty of storage spaces throughout the cabin. It comes with large glove box, glasses storage compartment, door pockets, cup holders and a double-lid centre console.

Bluetooth® connectivity

With Bluetooth® as standard equipment you've got the ease of hands-free phone calls along with MP3 player connectivity.

Performance

3.7L V6 engine

A smooth 3.7L V6 powerplant, producing 204kw of power and 367Nm of torque, delivers dynamic driving pleasure and lets you move people and gear effortlessly.

6-speed Activematic transmission

Activematic transmission allows you to switch from comfortable auto to exhilarating manual mode with the flick of the wrist.

Active Torque Split AWD

Active Torque Split all-wheel drive assures all engine power is delivered to the road. Taking input from various sensors, this advanced system automatically adjusts torque distribution depending on traction conditions, with up to 50% of the drive power going to the rear wheels for sure grip in virtually all road conditions.

Handling and dynamics

MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension are integrated with an ultra-rigid body to give you a smooth, comfortable ride along with sporty, linear handling.

Airbags

Six SRS airbags including front, side (front) and curtain (front and rear) are standard affording the maximum protection to all occupants

Blind Spot Monitoring

By scanning external mirrors' blind spots, this innovation warns of any unseen vehicles to help you avoid making hazardous lane changes. LED icon on the relevant mirror is accompanied by warning beeper. Grand Touring only.

Braking system

The brakes back you up with large discs all round, ABS and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), which optimizes braking force according to vehicle load. Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) boosts stopping power at just the right time, by monitoring pedal force to recognise emergency braking.

Dynamic Stability Control

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) is standard across the CX-9 range. DSC helps the driver out of sticky situations where understeer or oversteer is detected.

Emergency Stop Signal

In the event of emergency braking from a high speed, the Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) system alerts the following driver to help prevent a rear impact during deceleration by rapidly flashing the hazdard-warning lamps.

Forward Obstraction Warning

Forward Obstruction Warning (FOW) detects the possibility of an imminent collision by using camera mounted on windshield and warns the driver via a warning lamp and audible warning chime. Grand Touring only.

High Beam Control

Enjoy the enhanced safety of high beam illumination, without having to manually switch to low-beam. A camera detects oncoming cars' headlights, or the taillights of cars in front, and automatically switches to low-beam then back when it's safe. Also selects low beam in lit areas or at low speed. Grand Touring only.

Lane Departure Warning

Using a windscreen-mounted camera to monitor road lane markings, this system warns you in advance if you're about to stray from your lane, via an audible warning. Grand Touring only.

Rear parking sensors

Featured in Grand Touring, sensors at the rear sound audible warnings to make parking easier, and help avoid parking bumps or scratches.

Reversing camera

All models come with Reverse camera. By giving you a clear view of what's behind you via a colour display, both reversing and parking are made safer and easier.

Roll Stability Control

Featured across the range, Roll Stability Control helps maintain your new-found innner peace by detecting the possibility of rollover and preventing it.
